The only ones with one of the highest mountain scenery in Europe. The beautiful mountain is a destination for mountaineers, skiers, tourists and enthusiasts. In the guise of the vertical conquered by real chamois, athletes who with the strength of their legs will climb up to the 3560 meters of Punta HELBRONNER and the 2100 meters of the Pavillon.
Courmayeur becomes a popular destination for those who love climbs and the proposal of ASD TRAIL MOUNTAIN, the organizing company of UYN® VERTICAL, confirms the format of three races in 2 days.
It starts on Friday 2 August with the KKIDS.
11.00 am departure from the Pavillon for the young athletes who will compete in a sort of non-competitive vertical. The routes will be defined according to age.
Race pack with red t-shirt for young finishers, nutellla party, free SKY WAY cable car descent for those registered for the race, final surprise.
The competitive part of UYN® VERTICAL will start at 21.00 on Friday 2 August with the K1000. Departure from Courmayeur at an altitude of 1224 meters, at 21.00, after about 3 km of easy running, you climb in the company of the stars, thanks to the headlamp to illuminate the path towards the Pavillon Refuge 2173 meters. Goal and final goal.
The last part of the route will be illuminated with torches.
A spectacular vertical, one of the few at night, which will reward all athletes with a beautiful race package: UYN technical jersey, dinner, no limit beer and descent by SKYWAY cable car.
On Saturday 3 August the start of the queen race organized by the ASD TRAIL MOUNTAIN, the Vertical k2000. Departure from Courmayeur at 7.30 a.m. from Piazza Brocherel, route the same as K1000 up to 7 km. From the Pavillon Refuge a sharp wheelie towards Punta HELBRONNER, 3560 meters above sea level. The race has some technical passages with short moments in climbing, carefully supervised by the guides and the mountain rescue. 2200 meters the positive elevation gain in 11 kilometers.
The athletes will have to arrive on the terrace of Punta Helbronner, a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, in this case the final goal of the vertical k2000.
In previous years, the race has always been kissed by the sun and we hope that it will be again this year.
The Skyway cable cars will allow athletes to get excited in the post-race descent with the panoramic cable car, included free of charge in the registration package.
At the end of the race, lunch at the Pavillon, free for athletes, will allow you to regenerate and spend the third time in good company.
Discounts are available for the cable car and lunch at a discounted price for companions.

The UYN® COURMAYEUR MONT BLANC is not only competitive, it is also a moment of meeting for topics of sporting interest. For the 2019 edition, a look at the history of mountain running. Organized in collaboration with Technos Medica, a conference with former and current trail and mountain running champions: Bruno Brunod, Ettore Champetravy, Milena Bethaz and for the TRAIL race the reigning UTMB champion Francesca Canepa. The meeting entitled patois: "LE GREUMPEUR D'ANTAN ET DE ARA" (the trailer of yesterday and today). An interesting comparison of trail running in history and in the current one.

There is also news for the first edition of the VK3000 Circuit. It starts with ALAGNA VK2 in Alagna Valsesia on June 22nd. This will be followed by the Monte CHABERTON Trophy on June 30th and UYN® VERTICAL on August 3rd, also the final stage.

REGISTRATIONS:
Let's come to the competitive part, registrations for the k2000 will close when 400 members are reached, while registrations for the k1000 will remain open until a few hours before the start.

Registrations open on Friday 3 August morning for the KKIDS starting at 8.00 am at the FUNIVIE SKYWAY square.
THE TOP RUNNERS:
Names of athletes and real chamois of the verticals are expected, as well as the confirmations of last year's winners. The times to beat are 1 hour 41 minutes 15 seconds for the men (current record of Nadir MAGUET). 2 hours 12 minutes 13 seconds for women. We remember the winners of the 2018 edition: Axel Mollaret and MAGUET Nadir for the k2000.
MURADA Giulia 57'01 and ANTONIOLI Daniel 46'08 were the winners of the k1000 NIGHT.
Also present for this edition are the cameras of SKY SPORT with video interviews and spectacular images.
The DJs of Top Italia Radio will be music and sports entertainers, in Piazza Brocherel and live on arrival.
